A friend on FB mentioned that an online fiction database had catalogued almost all of his short fiction, story collections, and novels. He has dozens and dozens listed. I was deeply impressed.
Then I realized I had something similar online at the Internet Speculative Fiction Database (isfdb). So I moseyed on over there and saw that the index of all my published stories is woefully thin. Here’s my link. Don’t laugh.
Now I’m on a mission! I have to track down and add all my published fiction to this list. I also have to transfer some links to stories listed under Lyn Perry. One tale by ‘Lyn Perry’ (I try to use Lyndon Perry for all my SF/F) was published back in 2008 – Flashing Swords (Winter Issue #9) – and is today’s freebie!
You can download the free PDF here.
It’s a ghost story originally titled Tyler’s Bed & Breakfast (edited and retitled Captain Tyler’s Ghost). What’s cool is that it came with the illo below. I note that the artist’s initials are RHF from ’07 but I have no idea who that is. If you happen to recognize the artist, let me know, I’d like to give proper credit.
UPDATE: The artist is Richard H. Fay. Thanks, Richard, for letting me know!
At any rate, hope you enjoy the story. It’s only 1500 words. Here’s the PDF link again. Not too scary. ;-) What are you writing or reading right now? Drop me a line in the Substack app chat or reply here. Have a great weekend! - Lyn
Lyn, I did that illustration. RHF is me, Richard H. Fay. I'm actually glad I ran across this because I'd forgotten the full title of your story and wanted the share the illustration on social media.
Good thoughts. I actually stumbled across a categorizing, link platform you can use for organizing your writing, and for allowing people to find them. It's called linktree. Here is a link to the platform, and to my own linktree. See what you think. https://linktr.ee/
