Happy Weekend, Everyone!
Are you a cat person or a dog person? I like both, but I wouldn’t say I’m a canine enthusiast. Still, I hold some good memories about the dogs I’ve had throughout my life. Here’s a link to a story-like memoir* of the 5 dogs that have graced my life.
(* humorous, with footnotes!)
And here’s a picture of Jade, our most recent best friend who crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago. She was 11 years old, so not bad for a Great Dane.
In addition to my free weekly stories, I also have a monthly subscription program via Patreon (trying to set this up on Substack, too; so bear with me) for only $5 a month. But if you want access to exclusive content now, then please head to Patreon.
What’s in it for you? Three special perks! Each month you’ll receive…
A Weekly WIP - usually a chapter in my current novel-in-progress. (You’ll also get the whole e-book once it’s complete. You can also provide feedback along the way if you like. Who knows, you could end up helping me write the dang thing! lol)
A Monthly Story - not available for free. So an exclusive tale from yours truly.
A Monthly Novella or Novel - an e-book I’ve already published, so one from my backlist. Or one that I found on my computer. I’ll surprise you.
Oh, and fourth, a weekly short story that I send out free to everyone. Just because you’re a paying member doesn’t mean you can’t have some things for free, right?
Thanks for considering becoming a monthly subscriber!
New Project - an S&S Antho!
As for what I’m doing now? Whew! Great question. I’m taking a short break from writing and am diving into an editing project called “Swords & Heroes - An Anthology of Sword and Sorcery.” It will feature 12 great tales from some excellent authors. And it’s launching on Kickstarter January 31. So head over there and click the “Notify me on launch” button to keep up-to-date with this cool campaign.
Well, that’s about it. I did release a new issue of ResAliens Zine, but this newsletter is busy enough. I’ll tell you more about that next time. Have a great weekend and drop me a line or chat me up on the Substack app and we’ll talk books, writing, whatever.
Regard, Lyn
